1. Who we are

Matchly ("Matchly," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Fazekas Viktor, an individual based in Hungary. As we are subject to Hungarian and EU data protection law, this policy is written to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

From Creators: name, email, and account credentials; profile photo and gallery images; niche, platform, pricing/packages; self-reported analytics (e.g., follower counts, views); portfolio content and reviews; payment account details, handled directly by Stripe (Matchly does not store your bank details).

From Brands: name, email, and account credentials; campaign requests and requirements; payment details, handled directly by Stripe.

Automatically collected: basic usage data for analytics and security purposes; standard technical data (IP address, browser type) via our hosting and analytics providers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to operate your account, process payments and payouts via Stripe, send transactional emails via Resend, improve and maintain the platform, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

We process data based on contract (to provide the service), legitimate interest (platform security and improvement), consent (where explicitly given), and legal obligation (e.g., financial recordkeeping).

5. Who we share data with (sub-processors)

We also share data with other users to the extent necessary for the platform to work. We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not sell personal data.

6. Anti-leakage protections

Matchly hides Creators' social media handles and filters contact information from public-facing content to protect Creators from being contacted outside the platform. This is a platform integrity measure, not a data-sharing mechanism.

7. Data retention

Account and profile data is retained while your account is active, and deleted or anonymized within 90 days of account deletion. Transaction and payment records are retained per Hungarian tax law (generally up to 8 years). Support communications are retained for up to 2 years after resolution.

7a. Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach posing a risk to your rights, we will notify the NAIH within 72 hours, and affected users without undue delay where required, per GDPR Articles 33–34.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the NAIH or your local data protection authority. Contact info@joinmatchly.com to exercise these rights.

9. Cookies

Matchly uses essential cookies that don't require consent. Non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics) require your consent via a cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.

10. International transfers

Some providers (e.g., Stripe, Vercel) may process data outside the EU/EEA, relying on GDPR-approved transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Children's privacy

Matchly is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
